Windows Desktop Crashing at Startup, Taskmgr.exe unresponsive and restart takes a Minute

Hey there ^^,

nearly a year ago, I've built myself a Gaming PC with the following specs:

GPU - Msi Twin Frozr GTX 760 SC

CPU - Intel B75 i5 (Dont know the excact Numbers now, sorry)

A Corsair 120GB SSD and a Seagate 1/2TB(500gb) HDD

And an Asus Rock B75 [...] Mainboard (Dont know the rest of the name here too, sorry :D)

Now to the problem-o:

Sometimes, when I boot my PC and Win8.1 starts, I login what seems to take extremly long (30s-1min)

after that, the Desktop shows up with all Files but without properties (No icon, not able to right-click>Properties [Properties do not show anything, just the Standart values <0 Bytes, etc>, etc.] nor able to click on the taskbar - If I do so, it seems to crash too like a non-working program)

After the Taskbar crashed, I see my Style-Color (The color that Windows, Charms and the Win-Button also have) like when I just opened the Tile menu/Search (Which is Orange in my Case)

Seconds later, this blank field of color crashes too like the desktop, only leaving a cursor-loading animation by hovering over it and getting a bit blurry (So its the standart crash/program exception screen)

When I try to go to the locked menu (Ctrl+Alt+Del) then, Starting the Taskmgr, it just crashes too, leaving a blank, unmoveable window behind. So I tried to Restart through the locked menu (again, Ctrl+Alt+Del) what succeeded but took about 2 minutes which is pretty unusual for a SSD. After that, everything workes as it should again... and now Im here.

Also this can't be the procedure of a Virus as this happened at the 5th or 6th start, only with the standart programs Installed too and I've got some anti-virus plugins, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Gameghostify ,

When did the issue start to occur ?Have you installed any third party software before ?
To get a better performance of the machine ,please always keep it update to date .

We could take the following steps to have a troubleshoot :
1.Run "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth'" to check the health of the system files.
2.Perform a clean boot to verify whether it is caused by a third party software .
How to perform a clean boot in Windows

We also can use the autorun tool to check any suspect autorun program or services.
Autoruns for Windows v13.2
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
3.Try to create a new administrator account and login with it .There is a possibility that the present user account profiles has corrupted.

If the issue persists ,please check the Event Viewer for related error or warning messages to troubleshoot this issue .
