Im experiencing sound stuttering on Windows 8, no problems on win7. Using Asus Xonar U3 with latest audio drivers, same issue with built in Conexant with latest drivers. Attaching xperf file. Have You any ideas how to fix it?

the classpnp.sys driver has a large spike:

Elapsed Time, >     8192 usecs AND <=    16384 usecs,      0, or   0.00%
Elapsed Time, >    16384 usecs AND <=    32768 usecs,      1, or   0.58%
Total,                                                   171

You also have DPC issues causes by the SPTD driver (used by Deamon tools):

Total = 84335 for module "Unknown"
usecs,      0, or   0.00%
Elapsed Time, >    16384 usecs AND <=    32768 usecs,    206, or   0.24%
Total,                                                 84335

You should remove Deamon tools and look if this fixes it.

Ok, completely removed SPTD.sys.

What's the problem with classpnp.sys and how to fix it?

classpnp.sys is a SCSI driver which is also related to SPTD.sys driver.

It seems that turning off computer for some longer time than reset fixes this issue for several next days. I dont know if it will help You identifying the problem.

thestorAHCI.sys (MS AHCI driver) causes it:

Elapsed Time, >    16384 usecs AND <=    32768 usecs,    161, or  44.11%
