Windows 8 lost access to photo and document libraries

Sunday I tried to download more pictures on a new computer, about a month old.  I had downloaded pictures in the past with no problem.  When I clicked import, I got a message that a new file could not be created.  I clicked on my libraries, then pictures, and I got a message that "Libraries.Pictures-ms was no longer working.  This library can safely be deleted from computer ".  got the same result from documents, music and video libraries.

I have tried to restore to an earlier date, and refresh which required me to reinstall my quickbooks, anti virus, and works.  anysuggestions on how to get my libraries back and up and running

Have you tried to restore the library? Just right click the Libraries and select Restore default libraries for testing.

I have the exact same problem.  I tried to restore the library and nothing changed.

Niki Han is not clear in her answer.  Before you use the restore feature, delete the libraries.  Then the restore brings back the default libraries, and you have lost nothing that you copied to the underlying locations.

Thank you!!!!  I did what you instructed and my Libraries are restored.  Only a 10-minute bout of heart failure!

All the best
