Windows 8 forcing single mouse-click mode in domain

Since adding a Windows 8 PC to a Windows Server 2008 domain, I have encountered a number of issues, including the sudden and mysterious application of the single mouse click setting.

The Control Panel's "Folder Options", where this setting is determined, is grayed out, although it shows that it is locked to double-click mode.

As far as I know, there is no GPO that forces these settings and I certainly haven't made one.

Try unjoining it from domain and join it back.
