Windows 8 does not accept Symantec 360

Hi

I have just purchased a new laptop running Windows8 and the first website I visit is Symantec to download my Norton360.

However - Windows will not accept the Norton 360 AntiSpyware, Antivirus and firewall ... even when I go into SolutionCenter and active accept that windows shall accept these "apps" windows8 does not change the status on these "apps".

Any chance someone can explain why this is happening - and how I can get windows8 to accept the Norton360 installation as being my main security packages ?

Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to contact Symantec.  We have no special knowledge of their software & IMHO I would never use it.

Hi

I understand that point you have ..... but the question also goes to why windows8 will not accept an app which I manually accept within the solution center ?

I mean that this is possible not specific for the Symantec I use, but in general the OS should accept all app wich I accept - right ?

If so, why can it refuse what I accept in this case ?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the trouble. Could you please run LiveUpdate multiple times (till it says not required) and reboot the computer. Once it is restarted, please check and let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks
