Any answer or solution to this?
I am using 64 bit Windows 8 Pro. Upgraded from Windows 8 (regular) 64 bit on a new machine, Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 (most current), MochaSoft TN5250 and iSeries Access 7.1 for the AS400. Put Mochasoft on to make sure it wasnt my iSeries Access
7.1 software with the problem. And a Cisco ASA5505 VPN Firewall.
I had to do a registry tweak to get cisco to connect.
Open Registry editor by typing regedit in Run prompt
Browse to the Registry Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\CVirtA
Select the DisplayName to modify, and remove the leading characters from the value data upto "%;" i.e.
For x86, change the value data from something like "@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter to "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter
For x64, change the value data from something like "@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows to "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit
At that point I was able to "connect" to my ASA5505 VPN firewall. But I cant get the TN5250 or anything else in the network to work.
