Windows 8 RDP Only One User session is allowed
So I've been happily using my Windows 8 Pro 64bit installation for quite some time now. A couple of months ago I started using the RDP feature to log in to my home machine while I was at work.

A few days ago (I can't pinpoint when), My computer randomly decided that it was only going to allow one concurrent user session... which makes no sense, as I only have one user on this machine, and i've been able to rdp into it while it was still logged in at home without issue... The screen at home would lock, I'd have access, and I would just have to unlock the machine when I got home. I've already checked using gpedit to see if "hide fast user switching" was randomly enabled -- it has not been. So I ask you lot, What could have caused this? Is there something I haven't checked that I should? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

What error do you get when you try to remote desktop to the machine now?

Windows client has always only allowed one concurrent user session, but other sessions can be idle/disconnected.  When you login remotely the local console session is itself in a disconnected state while you are using it as the one and sole current user session.

When I try to Remote into the desktop, the error I get is: "Only one user login is allowed, this user must log out before you can log in"

You know when you log in to a signed in user account remotely, it will lock the user session at the physical machine? it's like it wouldn't lock the user session for me to sign in remotely.

It doesn't seem to be doing it now (I'm at work logging in to my home machine, with no issues.) I won't know more until I get home.
