Windows 8 PRO machine has Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V VM. How can I backup the Windows Server 2012 VM?

I bought a new machine with Windows 8 PRO running on it. From there I created, via Hyper-V, a VM and installed Windows Server 2012 OS. Everything is working and running fine but I cannot find ANYWHERE on how to backup the Windows Server 2012 VM. I tried Altaro but they do not support anything running on Windows 8 PRO which is my actual O/S on the new machine I bought.

Can anybody please help? I have a lot installed and configured (working great) on the Windows Server 2012 VM and dont want to lose anything.

Thank you very much in advance.

You "export" a copy of your VM.

You can export or you can turn off machine and copy the hard drives and config files. Have you tried Veeam backup? it's only for VM's there is a free edition that will backup.
