Windows 8 Mail and Messenger not working and syncing.
I am now running Windows 8, and the whole Mail and Messenger app behaves awkwardly. First, right after installing Windows 8, the Mail and Messenger app works. I was testing things out and I used the "clear" tiles function. From then, almost all my Windows 8 app fails. I then "refreshed" my Windows 8 and the Apps can now start. BUT (here is the catch), the Mail and Messenger (maybe other app) doesn't sync in the background. I had to keep manually refreshing the messenger app when chatting with a friend. Please help me fix this.

Hi,

According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue:

1 Reinstall Mail and Messenger app, you can remove it from Metro Start and install from App Store

2 Remove your mail account and re-add it

This didnt work at all. I tried re-installing windows 8. nothing fixed it. I am using Windows 8 RTM and the most recent update didnt fix the syncing issue as well. I tried re-installing, tried the troubleshoot tool given out by Microsoft. formatted my Windows 8 installation. went tweaking around in the settings, NOTHING worked. I am still having issue with the Mail and Messenger syncing.

I downloaded Office 2013 Customer Preview and outlook over there is more stable than the Windows 8 Metro Mail and Messenger app.
