Windows 8 Fast Startup doesn't work

Hi! I have Windows 8 Pro x64 and Fast Startup doesn't work anymore. A few month ago I installed Ubuntu with Ubuntu Installer for Windows and every time I opened the computer it booted Windows without going through boot menu, and then I disabled Fast Startup.

Half of month ago I reinstalled Ubuntu on another partition and now shows the Grub first (which is good for me). And today I decided to enable Fast Startup and surprisingly it's dead. I have tried to do this from another post in cmd and no luck.

shutdown.exe /s /hybrid /t 3

:((

PS: On other posts I found on the Internet users said that they have installed O&O Defrag and Perfect Disk and those things disabled the feature. In my case, I installed O&O. Could this be the cause?

Is hibernation enabled?

Also look inside the power options that fastBoot is enabled:

Install WPT (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4847.install-the-windows-performance-toolkit-wpt.aspx) and run this command from a cmd.exe started as admin:

xbootmgr -trace fastStartup -noPrepReboot -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER -resultPath C:\TEMP

does this work or do you get an error message?

I made the steps and after starting computer again and waiting for about 120 seconds to close the dialog (because I didn't knew what was that) it gave me this error:

"Couldn't find kernel logger in active logger list. Couldn't find user-mode logger in active logger list. Unable to stop trace."

Please try to run the following command to repair corrupted system files.

 dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Sorry Niki, I haven't saw your reply but I didn't enter this post to check for news for days. Before I could try that command I want to know if by doing that will delete my settings or any file from my computer.

It won't delete anything from your computer.

do you use the latest WPT version? Don't use the win7 WPT.

Is the Superfetch service running?

@Niki: Your solution didn't worked, despite the fact that your command successfully worked.

@Andre: I used the latest WPT version for Win 8 and the Superfetch service is running, but still the same error as above when trying to run the trace.
