Hi,

If I were to reinstall Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation again on my computer now at this time.

Will Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation still able to install???

Because Microsoft indicate that the Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation activation expires on 15 August 2013.

You can reset the activation timers by using the next command in the command prompt.

slmgr /rearm

As T.Kujala says, you can rearm the activation count. But, this is limited to 3. Beyond that, the Windows can't be used. In that case, you can again install the Windows with clean install type.

Hi,

The Windows 8 Enterprise 90-day evaluation is valid for 90 days after activation. Once the evaluation period expires, your computer will shut down every hour.

If you wish to continue to use Windows 8 Enterprise after the evaluation period, you will be required to purchase and perform a clean installation of Windows 8, including drivers and applications.

Unlike other editions, Windows Enterprise evaluation can't be activated to a full release. However, you can use it again after the evaluation expires, by performing a clean installation.

Hi

I have those. But I did not know whether my main CPU supports it.

Currently I am using only Intel Core Duo U7600 at 1.2  Ghz. Running at only 2GB of RAM. And hopeless Intel Graphic Card and a very low hard disk space.

So, I'm not so sure whether it will support.

Although it is a 64bit CPU.

As what I know it requires certain instruction set that Windows 8.1 can only support.

See below:-

Additional requirements to use certain features:

  • For 64-bit installations of Windows 8.1 Enterprise Preview, your CPU must also support CompareExchange16b, PrefetchW and LAHF/SAHF.
  • To use touch, you need a tablet or a monitor that supports multitouch.
  • To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.
  • To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least 1366 x 768.
  • Internet access (ISP fees might apply)
  • Some features such as touch and Client Hyper-V may require advanced or Windows 8 certified hardware

The Windows To Go feature requires advanced hardware. To learn more about USB drives certified for Windows To Go, please visit www.microsoft.com/WindowsToGo

My current hardware specification is very very very out dated.

So I am not sure it will be able to run well on it.

As I did not have the $$$$ Money to pay for the Technet Subscription Downloads for the RTM.

Hi,

Since you can install Windows 8 Enterprise on your computer, I think also you can install Windows 8.1 for your computer, but Strictly speaking, if your computer is OEM, you'b better contact the manufacture for further assistance to confirm whether Windows 8.1 is supported for your computer. if not, you can refer to the link below for more details about the requirement of install Windows 8.1.

Yeah, After you made a clean install, you can still use Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation. but as this product is expired, you couldn't activate it again. that mean you can use it only 90 days.
