Windows 8 Drivers

Hello.

I have just installed Windows 8 on a new machine - and i have noticed several times that Windows 8 is great discovering drivers to use, without asking the user!

But its installing the GPU driver, and im wondering if its using a default Windows driver - or actually a Nvidia driver?

So is it worth spending time downloading Nvidia drivers? or should i just leave the Windows Dri

I think that you have misunderstod what i ment :)

What i want to know, is if the Driver that Windows installs just as good as the one that nvidia has?

If its a Windows driver ofcourse.

It's possible that windows have installed a nvidia driver, many vendors have certified drivers in microsoft update catalog, and those drivers comes from the vendor it self.

And therefore a suggest that you check in device manager of which driver is installed.

The driver package from nvidias homepage probably also include a "Control panel" for the videocard that not might be included with windows update.
