Windows 8 Calendar Syncing with Windows Phone Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with a calendar sync between my new laptop with Windows 8.1 and my Lumia with Windows Phone 8. Ironic right? Anyhow, on my phone I use my live.com account for calendar. With my old outlook it worked quite good. It was syncing with cable plugging and it was quite instantly.

Now, I set up my live.com account on my laptop and calendar picked up all event like on my phone. BUT, since then every entry I put in my phone or laptop calendar are not syncing. I am using live.com accounts on both. I figured how to sync gmail on my old outlook so it works on Windows Phone but I still created live.com account because of these compatibility issues.

Anyone knows how to get them to sync these new entries?

Hi,

Please add the new entry from by logging in the https://login.live.com/ website for test.

Meanwhile, please check your Windows Phone settings:

For Windows PC site, you just set up this Microsoft account for your Calendar App.

ok I logged in but I am not sure what should I do there.

Also I went through those pages before and they don't help. I already set up calendar on my computer and on my phone. It is really frustrating because both are Windows products...

Problem remains, I cant sync calendar between my phone and my laptop...

Hi,

The page tell us how to synchronise your calendars, please do like its description.

Another way is Factory Reset your phone, then re-configure.

Hi.  I had a syncing problem on my phone too.  Not sure if you've got it resolved by now, but I found that on my phone the problem was my twitter account.  I went into "Settings / email + accounts" and noticed that in addition to my Microsoft account, both my LinkedIn and Twitter accounts were marked "not up to date".

Since I had deleted my Linked In account a while ago I simply removed that account from my phone, but syncing was still a problem.  Then I removed my twitter account from my phone (as well as the app, but not sure if that matters) and I was then able to sync my Microsoft account (after a reboot)

Other people have reported that using the Skype app and linking their Skype account to their phone also caused a sync problem, so it could be one of those things on your phone as well.  Good luck!

hi, there is a simple way to force sync your calendar which you've updated on your outlook.com or live.com I'd on windows8 to windowsphone8. All you have to do is go to settings - emails+accounts. Here, hold down or long press the windows live id you've used on your mobile device and press "SYNC". This will force sync your calendar and you will get all your newly added items. Hope it helped. :)
