Windows 8.1 with Bing limitations?

Hi

The new Windows 8.1 with Bing has some limitations about default search providers and start page and are only available for OEM manufactures. Other than that is there any limitations on Windows 8.1 with Bing or is it the same as Windows 8.1 standard editions?

So far I have not been able to find any limitations myself.

Hi Thomas,

There is no any limitation between OEM bing search and Retail Edition.

You could take full advantage of it either in OEM Windows 8.1 or Retail Windows 8.1.

For its improvements, you could read this article below:

Windows 8.1 with Bing is the latest version of Windows Embedded.  It's a core install - many features are not installed for example there is no Remote Desktops and PSRemoting is disabled as well.  You also cannot join it to a domain and some other networking functions are also not available.

Windows 10 IoT is coming out soon so we will have to see if they have it stripped down as well.
