Windows 8.1 will not connect to remote desktop

Since upgrading to 8.1 I can not connect remotely. I receive the following error:

dsTermServ.exe has exited unexpectedly. Debug information about this issue has been created in C:\Users\Jody\AppData\Roaming\JuniperNetworks\Juniper Terminal Services Client\dsTermServ.dmp

Any update?

It seems that Juniper is working on a supported version of their client software for Windows 8.1:

http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB28018&actp=RSS This page states that they where planning to release a supported version the first week of December so hopefully they will publish it soon.

also have a look at this post discussing the same problem: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/2bc9615e-68ce-4660-b28e-1f5f6767e31f/vpn-juniper-networks-connect-731-dont-work-on-windows-81

This a Juniper issue not supporting Windows 8.1/E11, you might ask Juniper for an update on this.

Hi Dilesh12,

I was just trolling the forums again to see if there were any updates to this issue.  None of the proposed fixes seemed to be helping me.  I either couldn't find the 'phantom' drivers everyone was talking about or the file they wanted me to delete.  I must have uninstalled the Juniper programs and reinstalled half a dozen times.  I did run across this page:
http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB28418
At the bottom of the page it said if I couldn't do some of its proposed fixes to just use the IP address of my machine instead of the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).  Sure enough, did that and I was able to connect.  I can't believe I've been dealing with this for months.

I don't know if this will help you but it can't hurt to try.

Thanks,

  Levi

Every one of our developers demanded that we remove win 8 and install win 7

they could not map drives,  find applications...

Seems to be the best option
