Windows 8.1 upgrade does not connect to bluetooth

Hi,

Windows 8.1 does not allow me to pair with any new blue tooth device. It does not detect my android phone.

All it detects are my previously paired (while I was on Windows 8) devices Nokia Headset BH-504 and the Miniboombox Bluetooth speaker.

Recently it has stopped connecting to my previously paired devices too.

This issue has been plaguing me for months please help me resolve this

Thanks Kapil for such a quick response.

I tried the fix above that you mentioned but it did not solve my problem

My old devices are still part of the bluetooth paired device list. I am also not able to remove the old devices or add/connect my smartphone to the laptop via bluetooth

All my bluetooth drivers installed are the latest ones.

The issue still persists.

Hi,

First I assume there is a bluetooth module inside your computer.

If so please test to reinstall its driver. To get a driver for the device, you need to know the brand and model of your computer or your motherboard.

Generally computer manufacturers will provide all drivers for their computers on their website. Search with your computer model on manufacturer's website could help you get a proper driver. If failed, search your motherboard from its manufacturer instead will also help.

After that, uninstall your bluetooth module from Device Manager and install the driver you just downloaded, reboot to see the result.
