Windows 8.1 search result tiles inactive

I just started using Win8.1 Pro and seem to have an issue with the Search functionality.  If I use the charms to access search, type in a query like "System", I see a list of results, but all of them have a blue background for the tile portion and these are not clickable.  What am I missing here?

Hi,

For the issue, let us know if the issue only occurred on windows search charms.

Also, I would like to know what account you are using.

I suggest you use other account with administrator permission to test it.

I am using my main account, which has administrator permission.  Using the charm search, I get a result like the attached.  Only the top two options are clickable.  Also, when I right-click the windows icon in the upper right and select "search", nothing happens.  All other menu items in that start list function as expected.

Hmmm, it appears I can't upload a screenshot of my charms result. I get [System Configuration] and [System Information] at the top of the results, with dark blue icon backgrounds and they are clickable.  The other results are [PC info] [Change system volume] [System] etc...  all with light blue icon backgrounds and unclickable.

I have exactly same problem.

Did you find any solution?

I can tolerate most of Win8 stupidity, but this is the most annoying thing.

Unfortunately not.  Why have stuff show up in the search box if you can't click on it?
