Windows 8.1 preview install
First let me start by saying that I am brand new to computers and there use ( about 10 mos.) I do not understand the language used, so the answer will have to be very easy to understand.  I installed  8.1 preview and it seemed to be successful except for 2 issues. When I click on photos tile it opens and shows files, when I click on a file it opens and shows pics, when I click on pic I get a black screen. I have tried to change default setting but nothing has worked. I can preview pics from media player, but I also want photo to work as it did when I installed Windows 8, also I can not get my Brother MFC-J435w printer to work at all. I ran trouble shooter , it shows all is ok, I tried to update driver, it is latest version. I uninstalled and tried to re-install using disk supplied w/ printer no success. I get a message that no driver on disk and when I go to Brother site for driver I get message USB port not correct Something about USB 2.0 and USB 3.0( I connect my printer by USB not wireless. My printer worked fine in windows 8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, read the Windows 8.1 Preview FAQ. "We strongly recommend that only experienced PC users download Windows 8.1 Preview or Windows RT 8.1 Preview."

Try to reinstall the photos app again. I think that after updating the printer's driver, there is a problem, either they aren't installed properly, or try updating driver through through internet !

Thanks & have a nice day !
