Windows 8.1 key expiring soon

I bought a new Asus T200T laptop running windows 8.1 on 11 January 2015 but since last few days,my PC keep notifying me "Your Windows License will expire soon" and when I checked my pc settings,it shows that my license will expire on March 4,2015

Does this mean I will have to purchase a new copy of windows after that date or is it a pirated copy in which case the OEM license would not work?

Thanks

This can happen if you bought your laptop with Windows 8 on it and used the free upgrade to 8.1. Sometimes windows doesn't recognize the Windows 8 license as legitimate for 8.1. My suggestion would be to contact the manufacturer of the laptop and ask them to help troubleshoot it for you. If you wanna dive into it yourself you can start by trying the steps outlined here: http://wind8apps.com/12007-your-windows-license-will-expire-soon-windows-8-1/

You can also Google "Your Windows License will expire soon" to see if you can find a resolution, there is a lot of info about it out there.

Post your issue to the Windows 7 Genuine Issues forum.  Here are the instructions on how to produce a diagnostic:

MGA Diagnostic Report:

To properly analyze and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

Once downloaded, run the tool. Click on the Continue button, after a short time, the Continue button will change to a Copy button. Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your post.

One Issue Per Thread:

Most Activation and Validation issues look the same, on the surface, but can have many different causes and fixes. This is why we ask for a diagnostic report and this is also why we ask that you create your own thread for your issue (in other words, don't post your issue in another person's thread).

It just becomes too complicated to try to troubleshoot multiple different issues in the same thread.
