A lot of Windows 8 system were configured with Secure Boot and EFI.  Windows 7 will not install with Secure Boot enabled.  Secure Boot must be turned off.  You also need to check the system manufacturer's support website for Windows 7 drivers.  Many system build for Windows 8 do not have Windows 7 system and hardware drivers because the manufacturers were targeting Windows 8 and didn't worry about Windows 7.

The best place to find the appropriate information about your system is in the manufacturers Support forums.  Or look for a separate forum on the internet dealing with your brand of system and doing as you are trying to do.

I also suggest you to check with PC manufactured. You can downgrade, but we not 100% sure can, its depend on your HW configuration

Hi,

To downgrade to Windows 7 from Windows 8.1, you need to make clean install. However, if you doesn't have Windows 7 product key, you would encounter system activation problem.
