Windows 8.1 can't access shared folders on server

The machine is joined to a server 2012r2 domain, and was able to access the server shared folders for past few months.

It can browse the internet, and ping the server, but not access shared folders.

Other machines on the network are still able to access those shares.

Not aware of any changes that were made before the problem started.

Hi,

Is there any error message when access to the shard folder failed? It would be better to provide a screenshot with this phenomenon.

On the other hand, you can check Server sharing folder settings if there is any problem with this domain account.

Hi,

There is no error message.

When you look for network resources, it sees the network connected printers, but not the items shared by the server.

The user is part of the users group, and they are ones granted access to the shared folders (which other similar users are able to access)

Hi,

That's to say, you couldn't find the Shared folder in Network Resources, isn't it? If that it is, you need to check network connection with the shared PC. Try to use Ping command to test network connection.

On the other hand, check Network sharing status on both of these two pc.

Problem was finally solved by leaving and then re-joining the domain.
