Windows 8.1 backup changes filenames

Why does windows 8.1 backup ( File History) change the filename?

For example: 'Filename' becomes  'Filename (2013_11_10 02_10_42 UTC)' when backed up.

It's messy to restore a backup file, but what's worse is that it renders installation files for programs, printer drivers, etc., useless.

Is there another way to simply use the exact filenames in backups to preserve the integrity? and/or why does it happen?

Thank you

Hi,

The numbers behind the filename represents the date that the file backed up to the FileHistory. This can help you better organize the files and folders.

If you dont want to back up some special files , you can open File History in the right search charm, click Exclude folders then add the unwanted files and folders.

1-goto explore.

2-Tool bar click on home

3- go to history

4-choose your file

5- click the green orb

you will not have the time stamp using the restore files or folders from explore tools, home, filehistory

Step 4 should be select file you want to restore
