Windows 8.1 Start Screen Problem
Bought a new Acer laptop yesterday and it works just fine with the Windows 8.1 except for this one thing. It's not really a major one but it still is a problem I can't tolerate. My Start Screen/Start Menu kind of like compresses into the upper left corner of my screen. The upper left corner is the only 'functioning' area. I scroll and the tiles move and I can only see limited apps/programs. The rest of the screen is just blank, null. I'm pretty sure I haven't tweaked any settings that would result to this. Help me guys and thank you.

Thank you for posting this issue on the TechNet community forums.

From your description I understand that you're having issues with your Windows 8.1 start screen limiting functionality to the upper left corner of your screen. Is this correct?

To assist us in helping you to diagnose this problem could you please provide us with a screenshot of your start screen so we can see the issues you are facing.

Hi,

How is the current situation?

Like Zach said, we need more detailed information for analysis.

I assume you want all of your apps, please click the arrow below:

If you want add some more app to start screen, just right click that app icon, click Pin to Start. This app will appear in the start screen.
