As the title say, well my sign in options button is MISSING ! 

Usually I use 4 digit pin to lock my laptop. Then it suddenly change to password and I dont remember my password. Not even the hint helped because I really never use password since I bought this laptop. I can't find the sign in options button to change from password into pin. 

Please help me. I neeed to send my project report and i dont have any backup elsewhere beside in my laptop.

did you able to login to local account?

If yes

 1. Click "Search"

2. Change the pull down menu from "Everywhere" to "Settings"

3. Type-in "policy". "Reset Security Policies" will show up in the result.

4. Click "Reset Security Policies". This will open "Control Panel" -> "User Accounts and Family Safety" -> "User Accounts"

5. Click "Reset Security Policies" at the bottom of the left pane. A warning window will pop up.

6. Accept the warning.

If you not able to login to windows and this PC connected to domain, ask your IT administrator to reset your security policy

Hi,

What's your environment, workgroup or domain? Have you tried to leave the password box blank to enter?

Based on my test, If you have only one sign-in method, this button doesn't appear. The only way is sign in with another administrator account to reset this account password.
