The Windows 8.1 Preview download website at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/download-preview has a button named Get the update. When I clicked this button, it gave me a file named Windows8-RT-KB2849636-x64.msu When I ran this file on my Windows 8 Pro 64-bit PC it scanned my system and displayed this message: "Windows Update Standalone Installer: The update is not applicable to your computer."

Kindly let me know how to fix this issue.

this happens when you use an unsupported Language (like En-GB).

You must install the EN-US MUI and change all setting to USA.
