I have a licensed windows 7 in my pc. I want to install windows 8.1 preview.

What I want to understand Is when the final version is released, what happens to the preview version. I need to buy a new license? Or this one continues?

For upgrade paths have a look at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj203353.aspx

This will not be a free upgrade from windows 7 and you will have to buy a license to install 8.1 final release. It is a free update for windows 8 users.
