Of course the Mail app supports Autodiscover for Exchange. Are you kidding, Roger?
Glen_CNI: If you don't have a valid certificate, including being trusted by the computer or device you're using, then the Windows Mail app might say "The email address or password didn't work. Check them and try again." Which is a terrible
message, because that's not what the problem is. If you manually enter your server information, then it will warn you that the certificate isn't valid, and you can continue. Is that what happens?
If so, open a browser on your Windows 8 computer or device and enter
https://address-of-your-CAS-server/OWA and see if you get a certificate error. If you do, fix it. For example:
1. Add the certificate at the top of the chain to your Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store if it's not trusted;
2. Get a new certificate if it's expired;
3. Fix your DNS if the host name retrieved by autodiscover (including both the mail server FQDN and the autodiscover FQDN) does not appear as the CN or a SAN on the certificate.
If it's not a certificate problem, try going to the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer to diagnose possible autodiscover problems. It's a really good site:
