I have a problem with my windows 8.1. Yesterday I bought my new laptop that had 8.1. already installed. When i set everything up it was working fine, but today i turned the computer on and the start display was not working. when i want to open an app from start it won't work. I tried to switch users and it worked just fine, so the only problem was wit my account. I don't know what to do. English is not my first language so i hope that everything was clear.

unfortunately I cannot imagine what means "not working". In what way?
As a general solution I can suggest to create a new admin account and use a new one.

Contact the shop where you have bougth your computer.

Better forum for general public is answers.microsoft.com

(English forums are generally the largest ones (I mean MS IT), but there are national ones, where you can use your language.)

Yes, this seems to be Windows profile issues.

I suggest we can also test if the issue persists in Clean Boot Mode:

Anyway, a workaround is to copy all the you profiles to another good account.
