Windows 8.1, a domain and enabling picture passwords

Hi All,

I am evaluating tablets for our organization using windows 8.1.

So far I have run into an array of issues, most of which i can over come by cripling company policy - but lets not go there for now!

The one thing I can't seem to find is how to enable picture passwords while in a domain. And yes, I do know how to goto the settings and setup a picture password. Done that but it isn't doing anything with it.

The only login screen & unlock screen i get is the one with the keys, which you have to type in a user and password.

Tried looking for a group policy for this, but nothing other than disabling this function...

Anyone have a work around this?

Thanks,

Roy

Hi Roy,

Picture password functionality is disabled on domain-joined computers running Windows 8. And, as far as I know, there is no change in Windows 8.1.

Links to more information about picture passwords are listed in See also.

Thanks.

Hi Niki,

That most certainly sucks, but does answer my question.

I find it very frustrating putting in a full password on the tablet everytime i unlock the screen...

Thanks

Roy
