Most of the users have 'mandatory' profiles.

Doesn't mandatory mean the profile gets deleted on logout?

Are you deleting profiles on logout? That seems to be problematic. Maybe set that policy that deletes old profiles after a reboot.

Hi there, I have many windows 7 machines x32 bit and different users log on to different machines. From time to time I have users who log on and go directly onto 'you have been logged onto temporary profile............message'. I have to visit each machine and manually go into registry under profile list, and delete the key with 'keyname.bak' and keyname.bak.baj' files restart the system and its fine for few days and then the cycle begins. Whats up with windows 7 machines? I thought it will be fix with SP1 but no avial. Is there an auto fix? Hello microsoft.

Hi, I would like to verify if it is in a domain environment? I suggest you scan system using security program and test the situation under Clean Boot. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. True, windows 7 is suppose to do that. I am still getting this problem on my machines. No solution. I have manually go into each machines registry HKLM\........\WindowsNT\Profilelist\ and delete all the folders with really large names. log back on and the problem fixes. After few weeks the problem re appears. Help
