Windows 7 won't save desktop
Hi,I done a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate and added the pc to a domain no problem. Logged on as the domain user (domain administrator win2003 domain) I find that my desktop settings i.e. theme and new shortcuts dissapear after a log off/on.Andy ideas?Thanks.

No, this also is the only Win7 pc all others are XP Pro or Win 2003 Server, and they don't have this problem. Thanks.

I'll work on the theme idea later. The shortcuts - what did they point to? Hi andy,I assume that you logged on a roaming profile, the roaming profile isn't saved to the server. To troubleshoot this kind of issue, I recommend you to manually delete the domain profile and log on to re-create the user profile.You may need to locate the following registry and delete the user account. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinlogonBest RegardsDale
