Windows 7 with IE8
Hi,
We have some issue while accessing one of the URL (as like below with
unstandard port no: 2443) from windows 7 Professional Edition with IE 8 but
all other websites works fine , However we tried this link accessing from
Win XP Sp3 with iE8 it works fine.
https://abc.def:2443/NPRD.htm
Let us know is there any setting which blocking this website accessing from
Windows 7, We have tried the below option which did not helped much.
- Disabled Windows Firewall
- Enabled Firewall with specifying firewall policy rule
Also we ran the netstat command to check the connection status on both
windows 7 and windows XP systems and noticed if we access the above link
from windows 7 professional computer it takes above 49000 port number (local
port) to connect to website and with Windows XP Sp3 it takes between 3000 to
4000 Port number (Local Port) to connect to website. Is there any option to
restrict local port number to access specific websites in Windows 7
Operating system.
Thanks,
Pradeep

Hi Pradeep,
Did you receive any error when trying to access the website? Are those windows xp PCs within the same network environment?
First, I would suggest check the IE settings first: Open Internet Options->under Security tab->click on restricted website->Site, check if the URL was list there.
Second, locate the hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drvers\etc, open it in notepad and check if any malicious record on the specific URL. If so, remove it.
