Windows 7 using Windows XP mandatory profiles
Hello, I work for a school system in NJ. Currently we are running Windows XP machines. We planned to install Windows 7 throughout the school system over the summer. While testing a Dell Optiplex 755, we ran into an issue with students' Mandatory profiles. When we try to log on to the Win 7 test PC, it won't load the Mandatory profile, however if we sign on using a Windows XP machine, it works fine, so we know the profile is fine. IS there something I'm missing with Windows XP mandatory profiles on WIn 7 machines? If there is already a forum for this issue, could someone direct me to it? I checked a few forums but nothing seems to match my problem. Thanks, Mike

Windows 7 needs to create its new profile because Windows 7 and Windows Vista use different profiles. Please refer: Managing Roaming User Data Deployment Guide Arthur Xie - MSFT
