Windows 7 user support policy -- old story in new cover? Common W7 support Q.
Hi, I am going there time-to-time in case to find something about problems I count with Win 7 at least once a week. There was wide spectrum of them -- MS bluetooth mouse related, about WiFi networking, about forgotten credentials, about too many conflicts in Silverlight and so on... And what i see? NOTHING except copy-paste some usefulness information from KB by clasped with medals fellows: totally formal answers frequently marked as "useful", by themselves. What I wanna to say to "experts": If you want to help really, not only for us, for customers, but for Win 7 project (and for all Wins in future), let's realize some simple things: - if you have not REAL answer -- say "We have not answer to this (at this time)", but do not drop the topic which is not closed by client; - if it is Win problem, say something like "we (will) work on it", "it is known bug/problem", "it is flagged"; - go to the techs on MS and really flag (transmit) problem to them, and put answer from them there, -- it can be a simple words about "we knew and do something"; In this case we, clients/customers, will not spend our time for searching, googling and binging for an answer which not exist anywhere. And will not to be frustrated with (counted) "stable" version of Win, but we will, on our part, realize some hardworking and RESPONDING from MS, which will at least mean something equal to support. Hi, Thanks for your kind feedback on our support quality. Your suggestions are appreciated and would be taken seriously. Generally speaking, we mark threads as answered in the following scenarios: 1. The problem is resolved. The OP himself/ herself marks the thread as answered or the OP tells us the issue is resolved and we help to mark the thread as answered. 2. The appearance is by design. Regarding this thread, we’ll tell customers that it is by design, then we would mark it as answered so as to let other community users fast search the thread and get to know that the appearance is by design. 3. The thread is answered and but quite for a while. In this scenarios, if the reply makes sense, we assume that the issue has been resolved. At this time, we will mark it as ‘Answered’ as the previous steps should be helpful for many similar scenarios. If the issue still persists, the OP can feel free to reply this post directly so we will be notified to follow it up. He/ She can also choose to unmark the answer. Please understand that we mark the most approximate suggestion as the answer, it could fix the problem in most similar scenarios. However, the same appearance may be caused by different factors, we can’t guarantee that the answer to the thread A is also suitable to the similar thread B. To solid troubleshoot the problem, it is recommended to open a new thread and we’ll try our best to help troubleshoot the problem step by step. Meanwhile, if you encounter answers that don’t make sense while searching, you’re welcome to reply the thread and point it out, we’ll receive notifications and keep following up. Also you could list the problematic threads in your post as you like. Again, thanks for your great effort and suggestions. Your voice and feedback will always strike and help to improve our support quality. Best Regards DalePlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
