Windows 7 upgrade sucks
I updated from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and already have had to seek help on why Outlook will not start and now I find even more problems. Apart from my printer (the driver for which I had to spend 2 hours finding), not one of my attached USB devices works, nor do any of my USB thumb drives. Windows dos not SUCK!! Your experience is not unusual at all. Anytime you "upgrade" from one version of Windows there is a high risk of problems due to incompatible software and drivers left behind from the previous system. The best route to take for any "upgrade" is to do a CLEAN install of the new system! Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, Besides software and drivers incompatibility, the issue also could be hardware incompatibility. Please confirm with your manufacture if the computer model is supported for Windows 7. If not, some hardware such as USB controllers won't work properly.
