Windows 7 upgrade causes IE problem
The automatic updates to Windows 7 that were pushed out last week caused problems with IE on certain websites. After the update, I could no longer log into my email account on Juno. After the update, I could no longer get to the website to try to login for online banking. In both of these cases, IE seemed to get "hung" and didn't do anything. Other websites I seemed to be able to access without any problems. Performing a system restore to before the update cleared the problem. When the update was pushed again last night, the problem reappeared.

The issue is mostly likely with update KB2585542. The update addresses an issue with SSL and has been causing problems for a fair number of people. It usually manifests in the form of websites or VPNs failing to connect or load. If you rollback to before the update it will just reappear when the update is pulled down again. So, you need to look at another option or rollback and then decline the update. If you want to apply the update there is a FIxIt patch available to address the issue. The patch is available in KB2643584: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2643584
