Windows 7 unexpected shutdown
I'm having a similar problem to the post at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprogeneral/thread/01d37366-3051-42c2-b1d9-6bb27f57964d It seems that the only solution is to have someone look at the dump file. I cannot seem to do anything that anyone says as that seems to be how they diagnose the problem. About my machine, it's a pieced together machine with the main components being a HP pentium 4 I believe. I have updated all the drivers but ever since upgrading to Windows 7, the computer would seemingly randomly shut down, BSOD. This happens when on the internet, when not doing anything, when just being finished doing something, etc. It's very frustrating and unfortunate in that it's such a good operating system plagued with this level of unreliability. I have uploaded my dmp file to my live account

you have to post the link the file here, you should remove your email from the post. you need to post the info on the system, as you say it is a piece together from old parts, you will need to post as much info about the ALL parts you use but a wild guess is the old p4 Motherboard is not fit for windows 7
