Windows 7 trustedinstaller permissions virus
about a week ago i noticed that almost all of my files were taken over by trustedinstaller, not just the OS files. when i tried to take ownership of them i got a "access denied" error. as a consequence i cannot boot my computer normally; i have to go into safe mode. i already ran a full scan with kaspersky, but it didnt find anything. i even tried the command prompt takeown command but it told me error invalid argument/option - "files" when i tried to take ownership of C:\program files. any help would be appreciated. Are you trying to change the ownerships of some system components? By default several system components are owned by Trustedinstaller and we do not recommend you to take the ownership. If you really want to do it, consider to enable the build in Administrator account and log in with it. Then change the ownership. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
