Windows 7 tablet PC with external monitor - unlock re-orients screen
I have a tablet PC with an external monitor. Both are configured in portrait mode with the multiple displays option set to "extend these displays". I am on a corporate network with group policies that force the computer to lock due to inactivity. When I unlock Windows and supply the password, everything looks fine for about 2 seconds and then the multiple displays option changes to the external display only and orients it upside down. When I go in and change it back then everything looks just fine. Since I am switching back and forth between the tablet and my main workstation, this happens frequently during the day and is quite time-consuming because I'm just not that good using the mouse in reverse when the display is upside down. Other posts seem to indicate that there are no options for turning off automatic detection, but is there any way for me to force "extend these displays"?
