Windows 7 strips DSCP bit set by applications.
I am trying to do a network assessment using NetIQ's Vivinet Assessor. The problem I am having is that the Windows 7 endpoints are stripping the application set DSCP bit, or at least it appears that way as the DSCP is not set leaving a Windows 7 endpoint. The DSCP bit is set when leaving a Windows XP endpoint and is set coming into the Windows 7 endpoint from a Windows XP endpoint. How can I make Windows 7 allow the application set DSCP bit to pass through?

Hi, First, please ensure the Vivinet Assessor is compatible with Windows 7. If so, I suggest you perform a Clean Boot to check the result. Meanwhile, considering this issue is related to a NetIQ product, it is also recommended that you can contact NetIQ for help; I think they can provide more help to you since they are familiar with their product: NetIQ Support & Services Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
