Windows 7 sp1 RTM reverse integration.
After installing SP1 RTM in Audit mode, I tried to remove unnecessary files but I got this message:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Coppyright © 2009 Microsoft corporation. All right reserved.
C:\Users \Administrator Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version 6.1.7600.16385
Removing backup files created during service pack installation.
Error: 1084
This service cannot be started in safe Mode
The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log
C:\Users\Administrator
Can anybody tell me why I am in safe mode, and how can I change it so that I can remove these files?
Thanks.

Hello (and sorry for my bad English, I'm French )
I've installed Windows 7 SP1 RTM in audit mode too and I have the same problem.
After looking for errors in the dism log file, I found that to solve the problem you must
Disable System Restore in the "System Properties" Dialog.
Try to re-execute the Dism command and it works!

thanks. System restore is disabled in Safe mode, so this explains the message. Good post!"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Just an FYI, everything worked for me except that in audit mode system restore was already turned off. I had to go in, turn it on, which threw errors, and then turn it back off (also throwing errors) in order to get the command to execute. Thank you!
