Error: 1084 This service cannot be started in safe Mode The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log C:\Users\Administrator Can anybody tell me why I am in safe mode, and how can I change it so that I can remove these files? Hello (and sorry for my bad English, I'm French ) I've installed Windows 7 SP1 RTM in audit mode too and I have the same problem. After looking for errors in the dism log file, I found that to solve the problem you must Disable System Restore in the "System Properties" Dialog. Try to re-execute the Dism command and it works!
