Windows 7 sleep issues
Whenever I put my computer to sleep it shuts the monitor off, but my computer keeps running. I recently did a reinstall on account of a mobo and CPU upgrade, I didn't have this problem before my upgrade. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I was before
my recent upgrade as well. Hibernate works fine it just takes longer to resume my session.

that's what sleep does, it is never intended to turn of your computer.CESabarre

Is the motherboard Windows 7 supported? Have you verified that you have the most recent BIOS for the motherboard? Check the motherboard manufacturer's support site for Windows 7 updates.

Before the upgrade, Sleep use to always spin down my computer. I don't mean turn off as in shut down, but log off and then put the computer in a low power state (shut off case lights and spin down fans and hard disks).
