Windows 7 shut down my internet connection every 30 min
I use Windows 7 as OS; every 30 min my internet connection is shutted down; to restore it, i have to restart my computer. Then, after another 30 min, the connection is re-shutted down. I have a somme 5 friends who use Windows 7 but only me and 2 of them have encountered this problem. Someone told me to check the network properties in order to modify the time for idle connection but i can't find this options. Windows 7 is instaled on my D partition; on C partition i use Xp and i never found this problem on my Xp OS.

I hope someone knows the answer to this questions. I have the same problem, too. I use Windows 7 RC (build 7100), 64-bit. My wireless card would just, after a while, go dead. The only way to bring it back up is to reboot the machine, which is very annoying.

Hi there. Uninstall your network cards. Go to Control panel - Device Manager - Right click on your Network card(s) uninstall them and restart. Let windows 7 install the drivers itself again. Your problem should be fixed now. This works on Nvidia Network cards and it seems that it happens if you upgraded from Vista. I also uninstalled my Nforce drivers prior to uninstalling the NICs. It worked for a few on here so I hope it will work for you as well. Let me know. Thnx

Well none of those worked for mine. And I cannot re-enable the wireless adapter because it just goes into a loop and never closes. What is worse then shutting doewn the system doesn't work either. Unfortunately my carefully planned system backup isn't working now eithre so i cant eve goe back to a working Vista system. So I will try a clean install of win 7 and see if that helps.

Ended up the clean install seems to have solved the problem, but I really hate BounceBack's backup system

Hi, Is anyone still having issues after installing latest updates from Windows Update? If so, can you provide the following --- make/model of the Wi-Fi card. You can get this by typing "netsh wlan sho dr" on the command prompt ----make/model of your Wi-Fi router --- problem symptoms --- reproduction steps for problem to happenThanks very much, Alok ManchandaMicrosoft Corporation
