Windows 7 search engine does not work correctly
Try to search for makecert.exe and you will see what I am talking about. I have Visual Studio 2010 install and the makecert.exe command works when I open VS command prompt. I can even locate the file myself by physically navigate to the location. However, the search does not work. It is C drive and it should be fully indexed.

By default the whole C drive is not indexed. You may open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items, launch Indexing Options to check. If C is not indexed, change the option to index the C drive and the issue should be resolved.Arthur Xie - MSFT
