i work at an FE college in Glasgow. we have many labs of Win7 Pro x64 systems and have an issue with some of these mysteriously rolling back/restoring to an earlier point - all on their own. systems appear to go back to the state they were in immediately after sysprep - all deployed software etc is gone. initial looking over the logs is not offering much to go on. systems were rolled out using using a sysprep'd image on ghost solution suite - all seemed to go fine. we have noticed that even though our GP settings are set to disable System Restore, what is in fact happening is that under System Protection, all options are greyed out, but Protection status is On for C:system - ??? solution/ideas most welcome.
