Windows 7 restarting during boot
Ok, my laptop restarted on me this morning when I unplugged the power adapter. From that point on it windows 7 would not boot. The startup repair give me this:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name:
StartupRepairOffline
Problem Signature 01:
6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 02:

Problem Signature 05:

Problem Signature 06:

Problem Signature 07:
NoRootCause
OS Version:
6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID:

I've tried system restore to no avail, I don't have a system image to recover, and it reboots the same way whether I choose boot normal, safe mode, last known good configuration, etc.
I don't have another install of win7 to check if it has ntloader ntdetect and boot.ini as former versions of windows did, but those aren't showing up in my system root so I'm not sure if that's the problem or not and i'm not finding those files on the install
dvd either for copying. That would be one of the first things I'd do on an xp system, but haven't had a problem with win7 yet, so didn't investigate.

Try booting from a Win7 install disk and selecting "Repair"

Hi,
Sometimes, the
USB flash drive can affect the startup repair, so please remove the USB flash drive before you run the Startup Repair tool to check the result, you can refer to:
Windows Vista or Windows 7 no longer starts, and the Startup Repair tool does not fix the problem
Also, you could unplug all the unnecessary devices to check the result.
If the issue persists,
You can use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows.
How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows
Hope it helps.
