Windows 7 re-install, all updates, not finding my nas anymore (via explorer AND internet explorer!, can be pinged though)
**Moved the post from the wrong forum to the right one: NETWORKING (i think).** Hi all i got a problem with windows 7 and my nas (QNAP TS459 Pro+) after re-installing it and applying all the updates (including SP1 and ie9); After installation i could access my nas and map network drives just fine. I have done some restarts after that (installed other applications etc.) Then all of a sudden the next day i can no longer reach the NAS via explorer and even weirder: not trough internet explorer as well! (the NAS has a configuration page it hosts, also other webpages hosted on the NAS are inaccessable). I can ping the nas just fine. I assumed it had to do with applications i installed, but even when i re-installed windows again wihout any other applications (clean installation), only windows updates the problem exists still. I can access my network camera just fine trough internet explorer, as well as the internet itself. I am at a loss how to fix this. I really hope some1 has a solution! Short summary: NAS cannot be accessed anymore trough windows explorer and internet explorer either on name or ip-address. It can however be pinged. Internet works, IP cam on the same network works. Note: also i cannot right click the computer and press manage (well.. i can but nothing happens). Kind regards, deduijk

Update: i did find a solution for not being able to access manage computer on the site (replace the CompMgmtLauncher.exe file for a good one weird part: sfc scan doesn't detect that file has gone corrupt). So only the networking issue remains. To clarify: from another computer it works fine. I can ping from the windows 7 computer, i can not access server pages of the NAS via firefox and internet explorer i can not access the NAS from network neighbourhood, or via windows explorer (either on hostname or ipaddress) {and yes the ip-address is correct!} I really hope some1 has a solution! thanks in advance! Kind regards, deduijk
