I am still unable to copy files from a network share to my windows 7 client machine's local drive. I have other windows 7 pc's on this network and have not issues with them. this is a new dell laptop, and is joined to the domain with all the correct accesses. any ideas would be appreciated

Hi is a problem of accessing the shared resource or to copy from that shared resource? On your laptop whith this issue , try to log in using another AD account . If the problem persist is a problem on that laptop - Firewall or domain policies. Maybe you forgot to add your computer account in right domain group/groups If the problem isn't with this different user account,, Check A. Thank you for your reply. I have checked the suggested items and all is correct. I have simply upgraded this user from Windows XP to Windows 7 professional. His username and group priviledges have not changed. Since the original post, I have been checking various things that may be causing the issue. It appears this is a problem with all my new windows 7 clients connecting to SBS 2003 server. the first windows 7 client, has issues some time ago and I seem to recall Microsoft connecting to the machine to change something in the registry dealing with the Lanman settings. I have been unable to find what is to be changed to make windows 7 compatible with small business server. any idea what that change would have been? or other suggestions? all would be appreciated.
