Windows 7 power settings turn off display after 15 minutes but then can't turn display back on.
I have three Windows 7 PCs that have power settings enabled to turn off the display after 15 minutes however when the users move the mouse or hit the keyboard the display does not turn back on. The computer is not in sleep mode and you can see that the hard drive is moving by indicator light. To get these systems back up I have to pull power. These systems are Dell Optiplex 780 MT running Windows 7 Pro on a server 2003 domain. The power setting is done through an EZ GPO. I have been able to go into Device manager properties\Power Management tab for the Generic USB Hub and all of the USB Root Hubs and uncheck the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" selection however this only works until the system is restarted then these setting revert. Does anyone have any ideas on this issue?

Hi, The device power option is reverted to default after system reboot, I assume that this may be caused by the Group Policy, please use gpresult to check the policy. And regarding the display can not be waked up issue, I suspect that this should be caused by the driver or hardware. Please re-install the driver suite or update the driver to latest version for a test. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
